Dr. Kolek was raised in the Intermountain West and earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he received the Dean’s Award for Best Medical Student and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society.
He went on to complete his internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship, and advanced cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University—one of the nation’s premier training programs—where he learned cutting-edge EP techniques from many of the world’s leading experts.
In 2017, Dr. Kolek joined Florida Electrophysiology Associates. He performed the first zero X-ray atrial fibrillation (A-Fib) ablation in the state of Florida, pioneering safer, radiation-free procedures for patients. His clinical focus includes the treatment of A-Fib, with particular expertise in catheter ablation and Watchman™ left atrial appendage closure.
“Taking care of patients with A-Fib is incredibly rewarding,” says Dr. Kolek. “I work closely with each patient to create a personalized treatment plan centered on their goals and values. Helping people regain their health, wellness, and quality of life makes all the years of training truly worth it.”
Dr. Kolek sees patients at our Jupiter office and maintains hospital privileges throughout Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties.
